The Gospel of Matthew

The Gospel of Matthew introduces us to Jesus as the Messiah, King of the Jews — the Promised One (Matt. 16:15-16). Beginning with a genealogy that establishes His royal line, it continues with His birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension.

Jesus in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
Each of the Gospels emphasize different aspects of who Jesus is:

  •      Matthew – Messiah (scroll down)
  •      Mark – Servant
  •      Luke – Son of Man
  •      John – God
