Israel’s Patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob

Out of a land filled with idolatry, God called Abram. He promised Abram, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen. 12:2-3)
Patriarchs Commended for their Faith in Hebrews 11
After a long time of waiting, God began to fulfill His promise through the birth of Isaac. Heirs of this same promise, Isaac and his son Jacob, never saw its fulfillment yet maintained faith in God. We read of them in the faith chapter of Hebrews 11. While God hasn’t promised us the same type of blessing as these patriarchs, there are times we too wait for God so studying these Bible characters can be quite beneficial to our faith.
