The book of Genesis teaches that “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 1:1). Without this foundational truth, we have some real issues with our belief system. It affects our view of the Bible and the authority of God. Teaching the biblical view of creation is vital even to God’s redemptive message. Creation points us to a Great God, the One of whom there is none greater. — “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” (Rom. 1:20)
